Properties

This product is a colorless to slightly yellow, slightly viscous transparent liquid.

Pharmacological Actions

Avermectin is an anti-nematodal agent. It achieves a 94%-100% expulsion rate against adults and immature forms of nematodes in pigs, including Ascaris suum, Hyostrongylus rubidus, Strongyloides ransomi, Trichuris suis, Oesophagostomum spp., Metastrongylus spp., and Stephanurus dentatus. It is also highly effective against intestinal Trichinella spiralis (ineffective against muscular Trichinella spiralis) and exhibits good control over Haematopinus suis and Sarcoptes scabiei var. suis in pigs. It is ineffective against trematodes and cestodes. Additionally, as an insecticide, avermectin has broad-spectrum activity against aquatic and agricultural insects, mites, and fire ants, etc.

Pharmaceuticals Interactions

Concurrent use with diethylcarbamazine may cause severe or fatal encephalopathy.

Function & Use

Antibiotic pharmaceuticals. Used for the treatment of nematodiasis, acariasis, and parasitic entomiasis in livestock.

Usage & Dosage

Pour-on or topical application: Single dose, 0.1ml per 1kg body weight for cattle and pigs, poured along the dorsal midline from the shoulders to the hindquarters. For dogs and rabbits, apply topically to the inner side of both ears.

Adverse Reactions

No adverse reactions have been observed when used in accordance with the specified dosage and administration.

Precautions

1.Contraindicated during lactation.

2.Avermectin is highly toxic; use with caution. It is extremely toxic to shrimp, fish, and aquatic organisms. Do not contaminate water sources with residual pharmaceuticals or packaging materials.

3.This product is relatively unstable, particularly sensitive to light, and can be rapidly oxidized and inactivated. Attention should be paid to storage and usage conditions.
