Clostridium Butyricum

Clostridium butyricum Preparation is a novel live microbial preparation developed by Henan Chenyuan Biotechnology Co., Ltd. It is processed using modern microbial engineering technology and liquid deep-layer fermentation technology, based on the principles of intestinal microecology and animal nutrition for livestock, poultry, and aquatic animals.

Product Features 

1.High Heat Resistance: Clostridium butyricum can withstand the high temperatures and heat during feed pelleting and survive in gastric acid and bile. Experiments prove a survival rate of 98% after treatment at 80°C for 30 minutes and 90°C for 10 minutes; 95% survival after heating at 90°C for 20 minutes; and 80% survival after heating at 100°C for 5 minutes.

2.Excellent Stability & Strong Adaptability: As an anaerobic bacterium, Clostridium butyricum exhibits strong tolerance to various antibiotics (β-lactams, macrolides, quinolones, etc.). Its biological activity remains unaffected when used concurrently with these antibiotics, enhancing therapeutic effects without toxic side effects.

3.Strong Adhesion Capacity: Strong adhesion is a prerequisite for Clostridium butyricum to colonize the intestine and the key to exerting long-lasting probiotic effects. Its metabolite, butyric acid, stimulates the proliferation of intestinal mucosal cells and repairs the intestinal mucosa. Consequently, Clostridium butyricum adheres to cells without damaging them.

Usage Method：

Note: Units in the table are grams per ton of feed (g/ton feed).

It can be mixed with other additives as a premix, added to mash feed after pre-mixing, or directly incorporated with other feed ingredients for pelleting. It can also be administered via drinking water.

Functional Benefits

1.Energy Source for Intestinal Cells: Butyric acid, the metabolite of Clostridium butyricum, is the primary energy source for colonic mucosal epithelial cells. Within these cells, butyric acid undergoes energy metabolism via β-oxidation in the hydroxy-methylglutaryl-CoA cycle, providing animals with up to approximately 30% of their maintenance energy.

2.Maintains Normal Morphology of Intestinal Mucosal Epithelial Cells: Research shows that butyric acid reduces duodenal crypt depth and villus width, thereby promoting small intestinal digestion and absorption. Butyric acid also inhibits apoptosis in colonic epithelial cells and intestinal mucosal inflammatory responses, restoring the intestinal mucosa.

3.Maintains Beneficial Microbial Flora in the Gastrointestinal Tract: Regulates the balance of intestinal microflora in livestock, poultry, and aquatic animals; promotes the growth of beneficial intestinal bacteria (Bifidobacterium, Lactobacillus); antagonizes and inhibits the proliferation of harmful intestinal bacteria; corrects intestinal dysbiosis; prevents and treats intestinal diseases such as diarrhea, dysentery, and bacterial enteritis; and enhances immunity and disease resistance.
